Why Are We Here?

You are already, right now, an indestructible, eternally enduring spiritual being. That’s precisely what you are and what you became at the moment your existence came into being from the infinite substance that constitutes the Ocean of our Creator at the moment of your conception, about 9 months before your birthday.

You did not exist before that moment, though the entity that is “you,” everything that composes you, both physically and spiritually, has existed eternally. It was focalized at that moment into what you now are. Just like the brick in your wall, though just made, consists of matter that has always been, even before the earth itself was created. Both your physical and spiritual components that became “you” have existed through all of time, even though the you that you are is a brand new creation. Every mother looking at their new born “gift” that was placed in their care, knows from that Voice within that this is true.

It helps to use a computer analogy to explain further. Every living thing has an “operating system.”" It’s not “Mac iOS”, rather it’s called “Life” and it comes from the source of all Life that is our Creator in whom all exist just as a drop of water exists in the ocean. We live in the “sea” that is His/Her being. All of creation does so, because our Creator is All Life and is all that is, both infinite and Ever present.

You have life because the Creator is actually present within you. Right there where you are. You are alive because He is All Life and by His very intimate presence with you, you exist. Your Creator is not just a vindictive old man with a white beard, sitting on a cloud, laughing at our antics. How ignorant and far off the mark that is!

While everything that has life has the same operating system called “Life,” the program we run on is not like any other living thing: All other life is given a pre-set program, a preexisting “app,” that runs on this operating system called “Life.” Oak trees get the oak tree program. Dogs get the dog program. Sparrows, the sparrow program. That is all they will ever be. Their program is a “package deal,” a self contained “app.” They can never become more than what the “app” says that they already are. A sparrow will never be more than a sparrow.

They will never learn to read. They will never question who they are. They will never grow into something more or better. When they die, the preprogrammed spiritual entity that they are, dissolves back into the ocean of the Creator and they are seen no more. They have no eternal life.

From that “ocean” of Life will come the next sparrow or dog that will fulfill its purpose until again returning to the ocean of the Creator. Life is expressed in infinite ways and is infinite in Its expression. It is everywhere we could look and It is everywhere we have never looked.

Here is where we as humans differ. We aren’t given a program or app. We only get a completely blank hard drive that comes with our operating system. When a bird leaves its nest it already knows what to do, while we leave our “nest” completely ignorant and profoundly helpless with only our blank hard drive to guide us, along with our Creator’s direct inspiration, of course, which has been speaking to us from our earliest beginning and still speaks to us, even when we aren’t listening.

We still succeed and come out ahead by the fact that we get to write upon that hard drive every day through our senses and experience forever and forever; and, unlike any animal, we are given the ability to appreciate our own individuality, our own “I am,” and a self-consciousness that is to a degree unmatched by any animal. We are given the unique ability to think, to reason, and to grow into something more than we were in the past.

Now to the point of why we are here in the first place. The eternally enduring spiritual being that we are is as delicate in its nebulous blankness at conception as is a physical fetus developing in the womb.

Your physical body needs full fetal development before it can subsist adequately on its own and so does your spiritual being require an initial period of protected development until it’s ready to take an active part in the spirit life you were created to experience.

Your physical body provides a stable anchor for your spiritual being until it becomes strong enough to subsist on its own, without intervention or assistance, in the eternal realm of Spirit. That’s why you have a physical body and are subsisting in the physical realm for a brief period of time in the first place.

“Full term” works best. About 9 months for the physical body and maybe 50-100 years for one’s spiritual entity to mature enough so that, on its arrival, it doesn’t require much intensive care from angelic workers who are, already, busy enough.

So, the unvarnished truth is that you are here on earth having a corporeal existence because that is the means by which the spiritual being that you are becomes focalized into a stable entity. By staying attached to your physical body long enough it has the ability to becomes mature enough to not require special attention or care on arrival in the eternal realm of Spirit. That’s just the mechanism, the way, the creation of a new spiritual being is nurtured and accomplished. That’s the way it works. A corporeal existence for maybe 100 years in preparation to get set for one’s real life, one’s infinite life, to begin.

After a few hundred thousand years, regardless of what our experience on earth had been, good or bad, its events will inevitably shrink into the perspective of irrelevance. A distant memory that weighs less and less on one’s consciousness. It has no relevance to you in any way, unless it is something that you want to keep relevant (like loved ones!). Much else is passed over in your memory, its relevance is lost to you, more and more, in the light of the magnificence of all the new world that now is!

So, the truth, stripped to its core, is that, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t matter whether the experience was good or bad, all that matters most is that enough time was allowed for adequate growth. Whatever one experiences contributes to that growth, sooner or later. Later for those living an unproductive, selfish life. Sooner for those living a loving and benevolent life.

If not enough time was allotted for adequate growth, then special provisions must be arranged in the spiritual realm for them to receive enough help to “get them going.” If it was an innocent, such as a toddler, they receive special care and all is well. If it was the result of a battlefield death, crime spree, drug overdose, suicide, murder, etc., then complex spiritual circumstances arise which may cause a long and difficult transition.

So, it behooves us, if we are so inclined, to learn and to apply what insights we may have to not only facilitate our transition into an inevitable and fuller life in spiritual realms, but also to assist someone else along the way to have an easier transition, as well.

The more you can give unselfishly of yourself while you are here, the more you can become a beacon of Light for others to follow, and your fellow angels will smile upon you, forever and a day.
